In this study, we aim to inventory (the list remains open) and analyse from an onomastic perspective several names of establishments (cafes, teahouses, restaurants, bars) in the Baia Mare area. We can observe, on the one hand, a conservative tendency, which refers to names with a strong local character (Crenguța, Lostrița, Hangița, Casa Moroșană, etc.), and on the other hand, a much more pronounced current tendency towards designative formulas that reveal a multicultural dimension of the names (La Crêperie, The Oak, La Cucina, Turkish Kebab)
